Parcel chutes are part of every distribution centre. When a parcel slides on this inclined plane and is decelerated at the end, according to calculations the following statements can be made:
1. The parcel takes 1.43 seconds to arrive at the end of the parcel chute.
2. During the abrupt deceleration at the end of the chute, also called shock/impact, almost 20 times the acceleration due to gravity, arithmetically 19.36 g, acts on the parcel.
You can read all the calculations and assumptions in our white paper, available for download via our customer portal. (only in German)
