ASPION presents latest generation of its sensor solution G-Log

LogiMAT 2019: Data loggers create transparency in intralogistics

Wherever goods are moved, they are exposed to external influences. If extraordinary events occur, the causes and circumstances usually remain hidden. This is where data loggers provide information: like a flight recorder, they record unusual events at precisely the right time. ASPION's new generation of data loggers at LogiMAT in Hall 6, Stand A64, will demonstrate the benefits that companies can derive not only from transporting goods but also from intralogistics.

Causal research made easy with autonomous data loggers

Tools in a shelf are damaged, a sensitive measuring device is defective after internal transport or shock-sensitive goods in the high-bay warehouse have been demolished. Data loggers for shock detection create transparency and traceability of possible occurrences. The new generation of the ASPION G-Log 2 is not only used for classical transport monitoring, but also gets to the bottom of the causes in intralogistic environments. The shock sensor records shocks of up to ± 24 g on each axis and in 6 directions, for the highest shocks additionally on millisecond level. With the evaluation of the data, conclusions about the causes on the company premises or in the warehouse are quickly transparent and necessary measures can be taken.

Powerful, simple and versatile

The battery-operated shock sensor G-Log 2 with wireless communication via NFC and BLE can be used quickly and easily without prior knowledge. It records event-controlled shocks, temperature and humidity values when self-defined thresholds are exceeded and stores up to 950 events. The battery in the discrete cheque card sized, 16 mm high ABS housing runs for up to 1 ½ year from activation. It can be replaced independently by the user. The sensor weighs only 35 grams and is fastened by screw mounting, cable ties or industrial adhesive tape. All ASPION data loggers are flexible and can be used multiple times, very easy to handle thanks to the ergonomic PC software and Smartphone App, and can be expanded to include cloud, location and network functions.

The ASPION G-Log sensors are available from 69 euros net. The shock sensors and other individual sensor solutions will be presented by ASPION at LogiMAT in Stuttgart from 19 to 21 February 2019 in Hall 6, Stand A 64.
